Southeast Louisiana Council Day of Service

Who:              Scouts over the age of 14, Scoutmasters. The day can accommodate up to 75 Scouts, so register EARLY.

What:              SELA Council has partnered with Volunteers of America and One Construction to do a DAY OF SERVICE. Scouts will be helping the VOA Repairs on Wheels program to help citizens with disabilities stay in their homes. Projects may include completing wheelchair ramps, light painting, and gardening. Details are still being “hammered” out.

When:              Saturday, October 28, 2017

Where:            Various locations around the Greater New Orleans Area, from Pearl River to Destrehan to Metairie and New Orleans,

How:               Register below. There is NO COST for this event. We will follow up with all registered Scouts and adults on what to bring and where to go.

Why:               Every Scout should do A GOOD TURN DAILY. We will have a list of requirements that the service may fulfill, such as rank service hours, requirements from the Disabilities Awareness merit badge, requirements from the Citizenship in the Community merit badge, etc.
