In conjunction with the Order of the Arrow Spring Ordeal weekend, the Council Properties Committee held another workday on March 28th. During the workday, the activities included Order of the Arrow candidates mulching the low COPE course and removing vegetation from the dam in advance of the continuing work by the military to commence on April 20th.
Several other volunteers led by Mike Decossas of Troop 18 and Ken Hays of Troop 231 trenched and installed conduit in preparation for bringing fiber optic wire to the front of camp for internet and other uses. A group of volunteers from Troop 269 and Pack 117 also continued work on the Castle for a tentative re-opening at Cub World. And, Bob Meyers, a member of the Gulf Coast Blacksmith Association, delivered a new sword in the stone fabricated and donated by him for the Castle. Thanks to all of the volunteers who continue to donate their time to make Camp V-Bar better!
