New Military Family Fee Waiver Expands Access to Scouting as of June 1, 2026

The Southeast Louisiana Council is excited to share a new national initiative from Scouting America designed to make Scouting more accessible for military-connected families.

Through the new Military Family Fee Waiver Program, eligible military families can now receive a waiver of the $85 National Youth Registration Fee when registering online. This initiative reflects Scouting America's commitment to supporting the families who serve our nation while ensuring more young people have access to the leadership, character development, outdoor adventure, and life-changing experiences Scouting provides.

Who Is Eligible?

Youth whose parent or guardian is currently serving in:

? Active Duty Military
? Reserve
? National Guard
? Coast Guard

What's Covered?

Eligible families will have the $85 National Youth Registration Fee reduced to $0 after completing a simple online verification process.

Please note that local council fees, unit dues, optional add-ons such as Scout Life magazine, and processing fees may still apply.

How It Works

1. Begin the online registration process.
2. At checkout, select "Get Military Discount Code."
3. Complete the verification process.
4. Receive and apply the discount code.
5. The national youth registration fee will be reduced to $0.
