The Southeast Louisiana Council holds four special events each year to benefit Scouts in our eleven Parish service area. These events are an opportunity to bring businesses, community leaders, and Scouting volunteers, together to support youth character development and leadership training in our community.

The Pillars of Scouting Luncheon is held in the Spring/Summer of each year. The event recognizes individuals who give back to improve our communities here in Southeast Louisiana. Event sponsorships, table sponsorships, and individual tickets are available for this event.

Join the Southeast Louisiana Council for our annual Sporting Clays Classic. Teams of shooters take on the professionally managed Sporting Clays Course at Covey Rise Lodge in Husser, LA. Breakfast is served by our generous sponsor's cook teams with lunch and beverages during the awards ceremony after the completion of the course.

The Distinguished Citizen's Award Dinner (DCAD) is held annually each fall to recognize the noteworthy and extraordinary leadership of distinguished citizens in our community. Their lives serve to inspire our youth to lead, accept responsibility and care about principles and causes beyond self-interest. Honoring distinguished citizenship delivers a message that character counts and puts into place guideposts to lead young men and women into adulthood. Proceeds from the dinner support efforts to sustain and grow Scouting programs in the Southeast Louisiana Council.  Event sponsorships, table sponsorships, and individual tickets are available for this event. View previous recipients of the award, and photos from past events here

Celebrating the role of girls and women in scouting, The Spirit of Scouting Soiree will recognize female members of our community who have exemplified the spirit of scouting by improving the lives of our youth. We are proud to introduce this 21 and over event as another opportunity to involve our community partners by ensuring that we can deliver the best scouting experience to the youth in every community we serve.

The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Dinner is held annually in the Fall to celebrate and recognize the contributions of community leaders in Southeast Louisiana. You can support the dinner through event sponsorships, tickets, and auction item donations.
